Updates on development projects near Lower Hastings Ranch in East Pasadena (July 2009):
There is still a great deal of development either taking place or proposed for East Pasadena:
A theater and 200 more apartments near the Gold Line Station (next to the new Stuart Apartments)
The office building at 3250 East Foothill (Kaiser is either planning to build a 151,000 square foot building, or expand the current building and erect a double stack parking structure
The old Allstate Building at the corner of Electronic Drive and Halstead (a proposed expansion and addition of a parking structure). Here is a
copy of a June 18, 2007 city Staff report on the project.
A map on the City website also lists an expansion of Space Bank on Foothill Bvld as apending project.
Remember the East Pasadena Specific Plan? Here is information provided by the Pasadena Planning Department to show how much development has occurred in the plan area so far:
A recent article in the Star News about the City beginning an Open Space Master plan mentioned that the current East Pasadena Specific Plan is due to be updated.
